“Wow. Wow. Wow,” Daisy clapped as she descended the long white marble staircase, her heels clicking lightly against each step. Her silk robe swayed as she moved with grace, amusement glinting in her eyes.

Vera, who was still standing at the end of the staircase, rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest. She had just dealt with Lucien, and her mood was already spiraling.

Daisy landed on the last step and walked directly toward Vera, a mocking smile tugging at her lips.
