Chapter 58. Challenge Still Stands

Mia’s POV

A loud gasp flows over the crowd at Thomas’s words. A challenge issued from one Alpha to another is serious. If Alpha Richard accepts his challenge and loses, then this pack and land will become part of the Red Moon Pack, and the Night Moon Pack will cease to exist. If Richard refuses the challenge, his Beta will have the option to take the challenge himself and become the new Alpha of the Night Moon Pack. The only way Alpha Richard will keep his pack is to accept the challenge from Thomas.

My eyes land on Alpha Richard and I suddenly realize how old and frail he looks. When he had me locked in the cellar, I was unable to fully see him through the darkness.
