Cora’s POV

Skipping from one rundown hotel to the next, I have lost track of how many days we have been on the run. I know that we have been gone for too long because I can feel the tether that ties me to the Moonshadow pack growing weaker. I can feel myself losing control and I know that I won’t be able to survive as a rogue.

Dylan tries to keep me happy but I can tell that he is struggling as well. Every little disagreement turns into a full-blown argument. We are at each other’s throats more than not. Even though he doesn’t say so, I know that he blames me for having to go on the run. If only I had been stronger like Mia. If only I could have stood up to my mother none of this would have happened.

What Dylan doesn’t understand is that I wasn’t raised to be strong like Mia was. I didn’t have to fight for every little thing. It was all just given to me on a silver plat
