Orion’s POV
Outside the tent, the rays of the moon flickered as it brought the warmth of the mother goddess herself down on the thorne wolves hiding within the forest.
Inside the tent though, the world was still.
Orion stood before his most trusted lieutenants, their polished armor gleaming faintly as the pale light from the tent’s fire reached them.
His brows furrowed as his gaze darted from one face to another. Each man that was in the tent right now was seasoned, ruthless, and above all, loyal.
They hadn’t asked why he called them at this hour, nor had they asked what had happened after he was beaten. They didn’t, because they knew better than to question their commander.
