There’d been times when she’d astounded him with her passion, and her need. She simply couldn’t get enough of him. That was why he’d been so put-out when he woke this morning to find she was gone. Because he’d begun to believe—or hope—that it was him personally that she wanted and needed. Clearly, that wasn’t the case.
