Leaving

The strong wind blew in my face. My hair dances with the leaves of the tree. I stared into the distance as I watched Hugo in the distance as he lifted the mangoes in the sack. I couldn’t help but stare at him in the distance. You have been like this from then until now. It would have been within reach, but he was out of sight.

They were laughing there as I remembered what the old man had said earlier. I suddenly caress my stomach. My hair stood on end at what he said. Hugo could not hear what the old man said because he suddenly push him.

What if it’s true that I’m pregnant? What will I do? I know that’s not true, but how is that? Will Hugo like it or hate it?

Chris runs towards me, carrying the mangoes in his arm. I smiled at him and laughed because he almost fell. But I suddenly stood up, remembering what he said he had asthma! “Hey! Don’t run! You might get hurt!” Despite the difficulty, I still tried to stand up. He stopped, so I was relieved.
