Chapter 17
Gilbert snapped out of his thoughts, at Morgan's words. He knew he was making Olivia embarrassed and nervous, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of wanting to know more about her.
She looked so much like someone he knew, that he felt like he was staring right at the person in his head.
“I still can't believe Morgan got married, and I didn't get to know. I must say, that's kind of you, really kind of you.” Xavier whined, feigning a hurt expression.
“I'm sure must be the hurt one. I'm just getting to know my daughter in-law. Why don't you come sit with me?” Gilbert smiled gently, nodding at Olivia.
Olivia was about to get up, when Morgan pulled her down, making her sit on his lap.
“I want my wife close to me.” He smirked, leaning in to inhale her scent.
Olivia's cheeks flushed red, this time, so red like cooked shrimps. She smiled, secretly pushing off his hand that was tingling her body, his breath was enough.
