After sitting down on the couch, Zach started wiping her tears then heard her say:

“Son… Are you sure the men had searched very well? Are you sure that they couldn’t find them,” She inquired in a hoarse voice, hoping that he wouldn’t give her the same answer. However, she also knew that it would be impossible to retrieve even an object from the place, talk more of a human remains.

She couldn’t believe that all along, it had been her brother that was threatening her family’s life. How foolish she was to not have realized it from the beginning when he had constantly been bugging her about the information of her husband’s organization after convincing her to marry him. However, she couldn’t tell him anything, knowing that it was a secret.

Thinking back to her father whose illness have intensified after hearing the news, she broke into another bout of sobs and tightened her grip on his clothes. “Poor girls.”

“Mum…” Zach sighed heavily then wrapped her in a hug.
