Last night, Michelle had no choice but to sleep beside Ezrah, especially when he threatened to sit on the chair if she refused.

Not having slept for long due to Ezrah’s condition, this was the first time she slept peacefully and for so long in almost two weeks.

In dire situations like this, even a small hospital bed was able to bring them together in love more than all the luxuries in the world.

Michelle turned to the side, and Ezrah’s arms wrapped safely around her.

The doctor came for his ward rounds with the nurses and contemplated whether to wake them or come back later.

“Doctor, can you come later, please? These two must not be disturbed.”
