Chapter 71. Your Kindness Has Been Repaid

The little light in Ezrah’s heart dimmed at the mention of Piper but he composed himself and spoke in a soft tone.

Michelle returned for revenge and could not just let Piper go like that. Something or someone must be behind it. “Don’t let anyone threaten you. Is it my mom? Ignore her.”

Ezrah easily guessed it would be his mother because of how the two loved each other.

At this moment, Ezrah wished to be in his mom’s shoes to enjoy a bit of Michelle’s love but was not happy the woman was taking advantage of it to make it up to her friend, Charity.

“I already decided on it.” Michelle’s voice was stern but Ezrah did not want her to get manipulated by anyone. She already suffered enough.

“Well, I haven’t. Please stay out of it.” Ezrah’s voice was gentle but firm. Michelle almost gave up but felt guilty for faking her death and allowing Louisa to mourn for her for so long.

At least Michelle’s parents knew she was alive but it was not the same for Louis
