Mr. Santiago had woken up at the exact moment Lucien wanted to go check up on him but got restrained by the overbearing Avery.

At first, he didn’t know where he was but with the help of the attending nurse that was standing before him at that time, he realized where he was and everything that happened to him and his wife gradually flowed in.

He recalled how they were beaten to a pulp by Aston and his men till his wife lost consciousness.

He also recalled he had faintly seen a figure that looked like Lucien come to their rescue before he finally blacked out.

That was the first thing he was confused about as he woke up and couldn’t help but begin wondering if the figure he saw was truly Lucien or if he was just hallucinating.

But then if he was just hallucinating he wouldn’t still be alive right?

And if it was indeed true that he was mistaken who came to save them for Lucien then who was that and how did that person know he was in that position at t
