Inside the underground temple, Naghas and Gabriel led their cadre of peasant human sacrifices and a series of their experimental blood ceremonies to offer to the three ancient individuals, the goddess of fate. Clothonia, Lachesia and Atroposia are three eccentric and powerful deities: The three female spinners, each of the three Fates, had a different task, revealed by their very names: Clothonia spun the thread of life, Lachesia measured its allotted length, and Atroposia cut it off with her shears. Each of the Fates was assigned to a specific period of time: Atroposia – the past, Clothonia –the present, and Lachesia – the future.
Both ancient and wicked, they weave and bind thread. One – or all – of them can be seen reading or writing the scroll of fate at times, and they frequently require human blood sacrifice.
Today, however, it was not the conventional ceremonies of known sacrifice, but rather specially developed magic rituals of enchantment.
