The growing sense of unease accompanied Mireya on her journey to her private residence. All the way her mind was filled with confusion and questions. She could not stop thinking about the strange things that were happening with Usher, and she was not sure if it was an effect of the tea she always gave him. At least Usher was less submissive to her than usual. Instead, he seemed intent on attacking her.

It was not just that the vase almost hit her head; Mireya also experienced another attack from Usher. When she was caught off guard earlier, Usher suddenly grabbed her by the throat. She could not breathe, and fortunately Greisy was quick to intervene.

Greisy immediately called some guards who happened to be on duty outside Usher's room. They quickly restrained Usher, and Mireya ordered them to tie Usher to the bed.

It was a truly unexpected incident. Just remembering it made her shudder. Usher's look when he looked at her was a promise of death.
