Chapter 87

Leah halted her steps when she sensed dark energy in the atmosphere. The entire forest was aware of the looming danger. She swiveled, her eyeballs widening as she peered at Scarlet's point of origin from where the blackness was emerging.

"What is happening? This clout... Even the trees are shivering in fear because of the inky darkness." Leah murmured while suppressing the trembling she was feeling. With apprehension, Leah encircled Scarlet with thorns to guarantee her demise.

Sadly, it was already too late when they realized this. All the things surrounding Scarlet withered away and soon turned to ash. There was more to the situation. The ground was blanketed in darkness as it crept over it.

"No! My forest!" Leah cried out in alarm, surveying the arid landscape surrounding her and pressing onward. "How can this happen? She may be a priestess, but the energy I am feeling for her is dreadful." She murmured while the trees that she was standing jumped to move away.
