"Which child is missing? Do they have any leads right now?" I asked, panicking.
"The trackers are working on it right now. I will have Emily come and stay with you while I go and check out what happened in the pack-house," he replied.
"No! I am coming with you. I want to help find the missing child. You can't possibly expect me to just sit here and do nothing. I am going with you and it's final," I insisted.
I let out a wince as soon as I stood up from the bed.
'Damn it! Why does it have to happen today?' I scolded myself.
"You should just stay here and rest. The more you try to move, the more painful it's going to be," he said.
I shook my head and let out a deep breath.
