Chapter 37. Her First Love

Iris felt herself losing control, her senses overwhelmed by the intensity of Adolphus's kiss. It was as if time stood still as their lips met, a hunger in his touch that left her momentarily breathless.

Her eyelids fluttered open when she sensed something soft beneath her, and to her astonishment, they had somehow ended up on the bed, their passionate embrace unbroken.
