Aiden didn’t know how long he had been listening to the rock collection on the music app on his smartphone; he had lost count. 

His initial intention to block his ears from whatever his uncle was doing in his room turned into a lullaby song for him until he didn’t realize he had fallen asleep in the living room.

A hand pulled the bluetooth earphones from his ears, waking him up in an instant.

“Oi, Kid. Wake up! It’s not a good idea to stuff both your ears with a tiny thing like this. Do you want to damage your eardrums quickly?”

Along with the music that stopped, Aiden found the figure of his uncle, who was now giving him a long lecture, as he put the bluetooth earphones back into the storage box on the coffee table. He growled in annoyance, getting up from where he had been lying while ruffling his hair in frustration.
