Ashley was in disbelief, unable to believe what he had just heard.

He reflexively glanced behind him, toward the exit where Aiden must still be waiting for him.

What had he just heard? Aiden was supposed to die in three months?

Garfield had only said that Aiden was dying, not that it would happen anytime soon, like what he was hearing right now.

But if that was the case, how could Aiden still be alive?

It had been a year since he was enslaved by the Schmidt clan.

“Your surprised expression is interesting, kid,” Patrick chuckled, drawing Ashley's attention back to him.

“I have no idea either. My clan's doctor told me about the diagnosis. That should be my question to you, actually.”
