When Xavier walked through that door, my heart ached. But I couldn't forget what he had done to me. It was anchored in my mind.

You didn't do something like that well if you were suddenly nice. Besides, it wasn't said if he would stay like this. Maybe Xavier would change his mind and be an asshole again. Nobody could give me the answer. Probably not even himself.
