Chapter 63

I was brave enough and entered the closet and Melody said: "Watch out, there's a ladder going down soon. But you have the right of way, then I can lock everything here properly." Closing properly should not be a mistake. So nobody could understand where we had disappeared to. 

I shone the flashlight into the darkness and after the closet, it was about a big step downstairs. A tunnel system, at least that's what I assumed. 

I thought no more about it and climbed down the ladder. At least it didn't smell strange in here. The only thing sticking was Melody and I thanks to the pond. I climbed down rung by rung carefully. Hopefully, we will be home soon and in perfect safety.

When I reached the ground, I took a step aside to give Melody room. I lit the round and the floor was even laid with tiles, only the walls were made of earth. 

It went left or right, which is why I asked, "Where do we go?" Melody climbed down the ladder and said: "To the right." "OK."
