Chapter 97

Yesterday evening had been nice. I had enjoyed the time with Xavier and this calm was pleasant. There was no hustle and bustle around us and it was just him and me. It was like a short vacation after all the madness. We badly needed that.

In the morning, Xavier had a few calls to make and I didn't blame him. His job took up a lot of time and I could understand it.

For me, it was the perfect opportunity to bring my family up to date. I should have done this earlier.

I was sitting on our bed with my phone in my hand. The first thing I would do is call my mum. Otherwise, she would certainly be angry, which I could understand.
