ADELINE’S POV

“I expect you all to be done and ready before the time of the auction. It is soon.” Veronica walks into the room as the girls and I do our makeup. Some of the girls tried to pick a fight with Silver by hiding some of the clothes she had picked up for herself but we quickly found the clothes and took them back before it was too late.

I know the girls hate me and want to see me fall, but they also know that Veronica privileges me above all of them. They know that she calls me her Angel, and they probably know that I am already promised to someone else, so as much as they would like to rip my heart out and watch me bleed on the floor, they cannot do anything.
