Chapter 147. Getting Stronger

I cast my mind back to that day, replaying the scene at Riocht over and over again in my head, but could remember nothing out of the ordinary, or at least nothing that would have caused the chip in Finnegan to deactivate.

I closed my eyes, slowing down the scene, taking even breaths, and asking Inanna for help to recall every detail. I watched as I was stabbed with a silver knife, Shayna blowing silver dust in my face, Finn killing the man who stabbed me, then Mike killing Shayna, then throwing his sword at Finn.

I screamed 'no! ', when he leaned over Finn, ready to drive his sword into Finn's neck, Mike looked at me, his eyes almost black with white symbols in them. I replayed it again, Inanna helping me slow down the memory.

‘There' Inanna said and showed a piece of the memory again.
