Chapter 76. Bill Collector

“Hello Max,” said a prudish voice.

           Max and Jasmine flicked around. Their gaze was drawn to Thanatos. He was wearing a big smile on his face. The smile wasn’t from his heart. Max could see through the smile to tell it was a fake huge smile.

           “What are you doing here?” Max asked as he expresses nervousness.

           “The last I check…” Thanatos scratches his head as he took a few steps closer to Max. When he raised his head, his gaze seared Max. “I’m still the god of death and this means I can be anywhere I want.”

           “You don’t have hands in our missing friend, do you?” Jasmine rashes. The sight of Thanatos disgusts her. There’s no way she’s letting Thanatos' good look deceive her. Thanatos is just putting on the appearance of a young-looking man but that’s not his true form.
