Chapter 81. Hostages
A small headache clung to her and she felt like puking. As her eyes adjusted to the surroundings, confusion set in. She had no idea where she was, and this scared her. That was when her heart started pounding in her chest.
She tried to move but realized that she could not. She was tied down to a chair very tightly and it even hurt to move. The more she tried to escape, the more pain she was causing herself.
Panic set in too and she cried, “Help!” At first, her voice came out a bit hoarse and unclear but after a few more tries, it was back to normal and she continued her cry for help. But there was no response.
No one came to her aid. No one came rushing in to save her. She was just left with the echoes of her very own voice.
