Chapter 30. His Real Name

I stumble through the hallway towards Brayden’s room.

With his arm draped around my neck, I tightly wrap my arm around his slender waist, keeping him from falling. His lilac scent swirls around us and fills my nose.

Even though I was mad at him earlier, when I’m this close to him, I can’t stay angry no matter what he does.

A calmness always seems to wash over me, and then a warmth fills my chest. Why does he have this effect on me?

My wolf wags his tail as I wobble back and forth. I don’t think I should have drunk that much.

I try to focus on the long hallway, but my vision blurs and for a moment, there are two of them in front of me.

I blink a couple of times and shake my head. Luckily, my vision clears and I’m back to only seeing one hallway.
