Chapter 268. We Want Truce

“Very well then,” said Jane as she gestures Izo.

Queen swallowed a lump in her throat. She knew her boldness might have provoked Jane. Seeing Jane gesture one of her kind means her death sentence. But disappointedly that’s not Jane for her. Jane has a code that she wants every creature to walk by. The code says: ‘No killing of humans.’

Not every creature like her wants to go by this code. The hunters are humans and they have been after their life for a while now and there’s no way they will let the hunters take them down without retaliating.

Queen was relieved when she saw Izo dragging Jack into the great hall. Words can’t express how she feels. She quickly ran to meet with her brother. Throwing her arms around him she kissed him on the forehead. “I thought I would never see you again,” she said.

“They saved me,” Jack whispered.

“What?” Queen stared with disbelief on her face. “No, they didn’t. They kill people and that’s what they will do to us now.”
