Chapter 269. Hunters Cry

Sky Hotel

As soon as the day dawned, Jane opened a portal leading to the Sky hotel. Queen leads the way to her uncle’s room. The last place she met with him. “This way,” she said.

On getting to the hotel room, she gave a few fisted knocks waiting for her uncle to answer the door. After several knocks on the door, there was no response. “The receptionist said he hasn’t checked out,” Queen said glancing at Jack and Jane.

“Step back.” Jane moved closer to the door as she placed her ear on the wooden door. “There’s no heartbeat,” she said. “But…”

“But what?” Queen and Jack inquired at the same time.

“I could smell blood.”

“No, no, no, no,” Jack cried out. “This can’t be his blood.”

Jane could hear voices coming from the elevator saying: ‘the receptionist said the twins are here. We have to kill them too.”

‘Of course, that’s why we are here,’ the second voice giggled.

She could hear the crackling of the guns as they emptied and reload
