Chapter 86
The rain that fell from last night still drizzled the next morning, making light taps on the rooftops of the pack house and every other cabin in the territory. Alex walked down the stairs and he met his father and Hendrix discussing.
Hendrix was the first to notice him and his eyes lit up in surprise. "Alex, you’re up," he said and James looked in Alex’s direction.
Alex raised a brow. "Were you expecting me to stay down in bed all through?" He questioned.
Hendrix’s brows knitted. "Far from it. I’m just surprised. Are you well enough?" He asked him.
Alex went over to the winery. "I was poisoned, Hendrix, not stabbed," he replied as he got to the winery, pulled down a glass, took out a bottle of root beer, and poured it into the glass.
He picked the glass up and turned back at Hendrix and his father. "What’s the early morning discussion all about?" He inquired as he sipped from the glass and Hendrix shrugged while James looked away.
