Troy dragged his eyes away from CC back to Keira.

“Why are you here?”

“I came for the wedding. Duh.”

“Keira, I have a lot going on right now. Dean is in the wind with a rogue army doing heaven knows what and everyone is on edge. Do not push me. I may not be you, but I still know how a gun works and I will shoot you.”

But Keira wasn’t messing around.

She gave him her best death stare and said, “I’m here for the wedding. By order of the House of Dormer, it will happen tomorrow. If you find it to be acceptable, of course, Your Highness,” she said, curtsying.

“Do they know?”

“Yes. Suitable arrangements have been made.”

“And you’re okay with this?”

“I’m a soldier, just like you. We follow orders. Besides, you know how much I love your pretty face, Troy. I’d do anything for you.”

“Fine. Do it. No screw ups, Keira. Make sure you get Caroline a suitable dress.”

Keira was already halfway out of the room.

“Too bad. She re
