Chapter 101. The Hope of Tomorrow Is Her (4)
“Always good to see you, brother!” said Dean, capturing Troy in a choke hold after trading several blows.
“Really? Because seeing you always straight up pisses me off!” said Troy, backing Dean up against the wall and slamming him into it.
“Take the kid and go!” Keira and Diane yelled at Neil.
“Come with me!” Neil begged.
He already knew she wouldn’t, that she couldn’t. Diane would never walk away from her brothers, especially when they were out there trying to rip each other apart.
“Keep him safe, Neil. I will find you once I’ve straightened things out here,” she said, a hopeful, idealistic smile on her face.
Neil gave Diane one last pleading look before disappearing through a window of the safe house. While the sets of siblings battled it out, Diane picked up a gun and took a shot at Dean, landing a bullet first in his leg and then, once he let go of Troy, in his lower abdomen.
