“His Majesty has agreed not to declare war on Sartis Est, but only on the condition that Duke Hunter agrees as well,” Prince Troy spoke, his news greeted by frustrated sighs.
“And this is the man we all call king,” said General Madeline in a huff. “We have men, women and children dying by the thousands, even now post war. Warlanda cannot take another war. Not even with a country as small as Sartis Est.”
“My father, flawed as he is, is the least of my concerns. Duke Hunter is on the verge of consuming Warlanda, as he has many other nations,” Prince Troy cried, desperately looking between the two women.
Rising from her seat, Duchess Lilith took a turn about the room. Killian loved this place. Here men and women from over a hundred different countries sat and dined with him at his invitation, while he debated which of them to prey upon next.
