“That would prevent something like this from going on. If there was room for something like that, I am sure we would have caught wind of all these deeds before now. If there is anyone still doing something like this, then people would be able to come forth to rat them out,” Simon added.
“Okay then,” Marissa looked at Mrs. Collins, “Let’s work on something that would be suitable for that, okay?”
“Okay, ma”
“Meeting dismissed,” Marissa said, and they left except for Tomiwa, who stayed back, a worried look on her face as she looked at the strained look on her sister-in-law’s face.
The minute the door closed, Marissa sagged against the chair. “Oh my,” she said softly.
Tomiwa moved back to her side “What is it? Is it your back again? Or your legs?”
“The back,” Marissa said as she closed her eyes when she felt another twinge.
“Here, let me massage it for you,” Tomiwa offered.
