Chapter 77. What Power!
"Mummy, see, see. I told you we would be late. Look, look at everyone; everyone is at the school already," Emma pointed decisively as they entered the gate of the school. The “everybody” he was pointing at were the few students and teachers that were already on the school premises. The teachers smiled when they heard his eager voice and waved at him. Emma waved vigorously back with excitement.
"Mummy, did you see? That aunt likes me! She waved at me! And that aunty! And that aunty!"
"Yes, yes, I see," she said distractedly as she navigated to turn to the parent's parking lot. She glanced at Emma and saw him leaning out the window. "Emmanuel Christopher Maduka, if you do not sit your butt back in that chair and stop straining that seatbelt, I will turn right back and take you home. No more school today," she threatened as she parked.
"Noooooo, mummy, see I am sitting down," he said seriously as he sat straight-backed on the seat.
