Chapter 25

After dinner, Jaxsen and I went home to his penthouse as if there was no quarrel between him and Savi. We dressed homely when we arrived at his penthouse before deciding to watch a Korean drama series on Netflix.

“How did you manage to understand what they’re talking about?” His eyebrows met as he watched TV.

“Maybe because of the subtitle,” I answered, full of sarcasm.

Though, I’ve already watched a Korean drama without subtitles. I’m a fast learner, so I can understand and speak Hangul in less than two years.

When we finished an episode, I turned off the TV. That made Jaxsen shift his attention to me. His face asks as he looks at me.

“You have work tomorrow,” I explained as I stretched.

“But you still want to watch that movie.”

“I want to, but I’m also going to be busy tomorrow. I need to sleep now. So, goodnight.” I didn’t wait for what he would say because I immediately turned my back on him.
