Chapter 14
“I still have better hearing than you!” I roared at him, when I had him.
It was heavy. He looked thin, but he was tall and had a very good weight. Pure muscle and agility.
He screamed and twisted in the air. I immediately threw him against the tracks with all my strength; I wanted to make sure he remembered me for the rest of his disgusting life, which, if it depended on me too, was going to be miserably short. He hit and groaned, grunting, but he rolled in the snow for a long way and crawled away at a speed no human could have achieved after such an impact. He was still dressed in that sweatshirt and pants. I could see him quite well in the moonlight; the violet of what he was wearing hanging from his hip gave away his position very well. I heard Sasha scream and then a dull feline roar:
“That hurt me, puppy.”
“Glad to hear it,” I responded, with a growl of laughter. “Do you want a little more?”
“I know where your babies are. Your tender cubs.”
