Sophia’s POV

I fell to the floor completely surrounded by emptiness. I had read the story of the Blood Emerald a thousand time for this particular false tale to have any effect on me but somehow I could feel it gnawing at my chest threatening to erase the memories of what I have read.

I struggled to tell myself that what I had already read was the truth and nothing more but I found it very difficult. What if we had been lied to our entire existence? What if all the things we read about was not real? I could not stop my thoughts from flowing continuously.
