Chapter 29. A Secret

Vincent’s POV

It seemed that the house is not completely secured since I managed to open the door from the kitchen which made my wolf form got in without a sound. I saw their backs from the entrance to the dining room, the men which held Ashley’s father hostage at his own home. The scent of blood immediately alerted my senses. He is hurt!

“We won’t let you go mister Snipes! You owe us so much, you promised to keep us safe while we work here and nurture your lands. Even when you never give us more compensation other than the food we have on our plates!”

I could hear the words coming from a man with a menacing voice who stood in front of Ashley’s father. Mister Snipes is strapped in a wooden chair, his arms and legs are both tied with a rope.

“I gave you my word, nothing bad is going to happen to you and your family! Please let me go, my daughter will be worried.”

He’s voice trembling, fear and distress is clearly written all over his battered face
