POV: Queen Tamara Vikesh-Pierce

“Hail for the king and queen!” Arlan dynamically cheered as everyone followed his chant.

Tamara felt the contentment as they faced their visitors with every smile pasted on their faces. She smiled at each and every one of them.

Nothing could ever beat a genuine smile from people who are true and honestly happy for her and the king.

King Hades held his hand into mid-air, stopping their cheers and asking for a short silence while his other hand was holding her waist. Her cheeks burned for she felt like she was so little being caged inside his arms.

She still couldn’t deny the fact that it felt surreal to her. It felt like a sweet dream which she never wanted to wake up. Despite the struggles, the pain, and the grief, she felt like this was worthwhile.

For tonight, they were already married — for real!

“Thank you for coming here and fulfilling my queen’s request.”
