Birds chirped in harmony like an orchestra that pays tribute to the glorious morning.
The air was crisped and the grass bathed in dewdrops. She inhaled deeply. This made her smile. No wheezing breaths. Just pure clean air filling her lungs. All thanks to one man.
Xavier, her beloved. He always walked with her before sunrise, before he rested. She loved those moments.
He was aloof and stiff, sometimes indifferent to other people, all of that changed if he was with her. His touches were gentle like she was made of the rarest and most expensive of porcelains.
His whispers of endearments in her ears were like butterfly wings. Even their first kiss – she flushed at the memory of her boldness – even that was soft and gentle. Xavier was patient, he didn’t devour. He claimed.
She shivered in delight at their passion. Her first kiss. The first of many. He hasn’t gone beyond that, and he would not be persuaded.
