Chapter 63. Secret Agreement
Catlyn arrived home soon after and looked suspiciously at Kevin.
"Was she silent again?"
"No. This time she spoke."
"What did she say?"
"She's not going to visit us anymore." Kevin said and left.
He walked through the forest all day until he reached the evening. He looked up at the sky and wagged his middle finger at the moon, but he knew it wasn't to blame for his love for Cybele. No one was. And she was right. He wanted her more than life itself. Everything he'd done, everything he'd agreed to give up, had been in a vain attempt to erase her from him, and it was getting stronger all the time.
He sat down defeated and saw a silver wolf staring at him. He hadn't noticed it coming and didn't care. It must have been Gael watching him, now that he commanded all the wolves.
He heard footsteps and knew they weren't wolves. He raised his head and saw the moon staring at him
