Chapter 54

I couldn’t sleep throughout the time we traveled. I was very restless.

When we landed at London Heathrow Airport it was two in the morning.

We finished all the formalities and by the time we came out, it was two-thirty in the morning.

I desperately wanted to go to the hospital but I knew I won’t be allowed to enter and Don had gone home as he had an urgency at home. I had called him before boarding the flight from Milan. I didn’t want to bother him more as he has done enough for me.

I checked my cell phone and it was working fine, as Mathias went to the washroom, I called up the hospital’s number. After giving Tio’s ward number, which Don had sent me on Mathias’s phone, I came to know that Tio was doing better as they had fixed the problem with his spine, as the bone near it was dislocated. But now he was out of danger. But would have to be kept in a hospital for a few days for observation.

I was surprised that Don had not briefed me about the surgery.
