I stood my ground, my heart pounding in my chest as the dark creature charged towards me. Its twisted body seemed to absorb the light around it, making it almost invisible in the shadows.
I didn't even know how possible it was for someone to summon such a thing. Devon only mentioned it in passing, but his words were enough for me to know the sacrifice Maximo and the witch or whatever that helped him might have offered to get such a creature, one that looked like it wanted to have me for dinner.
