With heavy steps, Esmeray walked away from the Vampire King. Warmth left her heart with each step that took her away from Vladimir.

She hadn’t even known him for a full day but the limited time she had spent with him, had made her feel alive and now while parting ways with him, Esmeray felt like she was fading away in the darkness again. Vladimir’s presence had consumed her, she hadn’t drifted away for even once in his presence. She didn’t feel lost when she was with him.
