Darach stared at the woman who called the little devil. The air around them seemed to thrum with strange energy, thick enough to taste—like metal and wild rain. A fey was standing in front of him in all her glory. Her silvery hair shimmered under the dull torchlight, catching every flicker like liquid moonlight, and her eyes gleamed with the deep green of forest moss after a storm. A faint floral scent—wild jasmine, sharp and intoxicating—coiled in the air between them. She was clearly startled by the position she found Victor and Darach in. It has been a long time since he encountered one of her kind.
Fey and lycans were not allies. It was said that in Darach’s uncle’s era the lycans and fey were at war against each other but soon a treaty was signed according to which the fey declared that no one from their kind will ever be linked to the lycans.
Fey was malignant and mysterious. A deadly combination.
