Chapter 57. Amber’s an Evil Bitch: pt. 2
“She left me on the poisonous snow. . . Darach left me. . . You would have left me too if I didn’t have a part of Charlie’s soul within me.” A broken laugh escaped from Amber’s lips.
The memory of that night clawed at her—the bite of the poisonous frost against her skin, the way her tiny body trembled, the silence that told her no one was coming back. She had learned what loneliness was before she even learned how to walk.
“Eva you’re wrong~ you don’t have Charlie’s soul yo--” Amber didn’t let the Goddess complete her sentence.
“I’m done with your lies. You told me about my parents but you never told me that one of your worshipers broke my family apart. You never told me that because of your worshiper you saved me otherwise you would have left me to die too like my own mother.” Venom dripped from Amber’s tone. She was like an angry child who wanted to blame everyone around her to feel good. She just wanted to hold someone responsible for her pain and misery.
