Prince Herod’s POV Still

I am strolling at a leisurely pace on the exact same path that Harad walked along yesterday.

I absolutely do not want Xanne and Arbel to find out that I am searching for them. Whatever happens tonight, I am well-prepared. To ensure my disguise as Harad is foolproof, I darkened my hair with a rinse. We are twins, most people can only tell us apart by the slightest difference in our hair color.

I am aware that Xanne too often has trouble telling Harad and me apart and the darkness of the night won't help her either. And since I have sorted out the minor disparities, I must only be cautious not to slip up with words.

When I am close to the area that Harad referred to as the Seal, I perceive rustling from a distance of several meters.

I feel like there is someone nearby who's keeping an eye on me.

I'm unsure of its gender at the moment, but I'm leaning towards it being female. As I wander along, occasionally pause to pluck
