”What are you talking about?” The Alpha’s voice startled me and I jerked up, looking over my shoulders.

”Nothing,” I was quick to answer, but he didn’t believe me. Did he hear our conversation?

”I was telling Cali that I’m not sad about Mommy because I have her now,” Love was more than happy to indulge her father and I shut my eyes. I forgot to tell her that our little conversation was a secret. Alpha Edward was fuming mad and if this was a cartoon, smoke would be coming out of his ears however, he kept his cool in front of his daughter.

”Lovely girl, that comic you like so much is on, go and watch,” he said.

”But I’m eating and I haven’t done my homework yet,” Love said, eyeing his father and happy that she can watch TV.

When Love got out of sight, I slowly turned to face the Alpha.
