“Apphia,” she whispered.

I got to my feet and extended my hand toward her. She rejected my offer and stood up on her own. She put on glasses hastily.

“Are you from this pack, Apphia?” I asked. She stared at me for what felt like minutes, but it wasn’t before she shook her head.

“No,” she was hiding her face from me. I didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, but I couldn’t help it. I was curious to see her face.

“Who are you here with?”

“My brother,”

“Can I meet your brother?” I asked. She glanced at me for a second, her eyes agitated, and her hands shook in fear. Something was going on.

“Apphia, I’m the Luna of this pack, and if something is wrong, I can help you,” I told her.
