My eyes met Lias during the chaos. For a moment I forgot how to breathe. He was so majestic. However, his fur was covered in blood. I was relieved when I smelled it wasn’t his.

He looked me over, and I nodded to assure him I was alright. I didn’t want my mate worrying during a fight and getting distracted.
